Bible Studies

Sunday & Tuesday Mornings
Contact: Pastor Aadland

SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY

We’re pausing our study of Genesis to explore something central to the Christian life — the Means of Grace. Through the Word and the Sacraments, Christ gives His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation. Together, we’ll look at key Scriptures highlighted in the Small Catechism’s final three chief parts: Baptism, Confession and Absolution, and Holy Communion.

Our pastors typically alternate leading Sunday morning Bible studies; this fall, the one-hour class will be taught by Pr. Thomas Aadland. Whether you’re new or returning, you’re invited to listen, learn, and join the conversation.

Location: The Fireside Room
Day & Time: Sundays at 10:30 AM

TUESDAY BIBLE STUDY

Need a midweek pick-me-up? Pause, refresh, and dig deeper into God’s Word with us. On Tuesday mornings, we gather for a one-hour Bible study led by Pr. Thomas Aadland. Bring a friend, grab a cup of coffee, and join the conversation as we return to the Minor Prophets and discover God’s faithfulness for every generation.

Location: The Fireside Room
Day & Time: Tuesdays at 10:00 AM

Food Share Month

March 2026
Contact:
Mary Ann Abel or Scott Butenhoff

March is Food Share Month! Since 1972, Neighbors Inc has been providing food and hygiene items to a growing number of people from Dakota County and surrounding communities. Neighbors’ goal this year is to receive 50,000 pounds of food and $200,000 in cash donations during the month of March. Financial donations have the greatest impact- with three times the purchasing power!

You can make a cash donation one of three ways:

  1. Make a check payable to Saint James Lutheran Church and write Neighbors Inc on the memo line. It can be placed in the collection plate or drop it off in the church office.

  2. Use the Neighbors Inc envelopes located at the Welcome Center in the Narthex. Make your check payable to Neighbors Inc and send it directly to them: 222 Grand Avenue W., South St. Paul, MN 55075

  3. Donate online at https://www.neighborsmn.org/donate-neighbors/

Non-perishable food items and personal items are also welcome, and important, as they provide a diversification in selection for the food shelf shoppers. A list of suggested items is found on the food barrel as you enter the Narthex.

Donations need to be made by March 30th in order to be counted towards this campaign.
