We're leaving at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning for a three day study field trip into the Negev (southern region) of Israel. They are preparing us for 100 degrees plus and we are scheduled to scale the west side of Masada and then after a class on the top of Masada take the "snake path" down the east side. There is also a cable car for those who want to descend in style, but I think I'll join the young and the restless and take the switchbacks of the "snake path."  (At least, it's down hill.)
